Does FoldingText refresh an open note if it is edited in another device?

Having been a WriteRoom user for a year, one thing that I find lacking is the ability to edit on my Mac, edit on my iPhone, and have the Mac note (still open) update with the latest change on my iPhone. I am using DropBox sync. For this limitation, I have to often remind myself to quit WriteRoom before I leave my Mac, so I won't introduce conflict after working on my WriteRoom notes on my iPhone for a while.

Does FoldingText handle this situation better?

    Version 1.1 should.

It's not yet in the Mac App Store, but you can download the demo version (fully functional, just with "purchase" button) here:

Please let me know if it works as you expect it to. I just added it, and it seemed to work for me, but I didn't test with Dropbox.

    Thanks Jesse.

Would the same feature come to WriteRoom?

Honestly, plain text is all I need. But I would switch to Folding Text for this feature alone.

I'm not sure, it might but right now my time is being spent on FoldingText. Grey and Young Hoo (who I work with) are managing and developing WriteRoom and TaskPaper.

Ok, that's kind of what I suspect. Thanks for letting me know. Will try out FoldingText on Dropbox.

This works fine when you're using iCloud.

I don't know if it works OK with DropBox. iCloud in general is WAY BETTER at handling things like this than is DropBox. iCloud generally merges changes OK, where DropBox tends to fork off separate conflicted documents which the user must merge themself.

    Hi John,

Is iCloud only available in the Mac App Store version and not in beta? I
kind of want to try out this function between I purchase.
